here's the china CR-1/IR-1 list, extended mode, sorted by interview date, descending.

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?cfl=0&op1=3&op2=d&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,10,11,13,14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,25,26,27,28,108,110,111,208,210,211&op6=All&op7=China&dfile=No&adv=1

Darnell, can you explain the column headers in this table. What is meant by:

Packet III sent? (sent by whom? Me?)

Packet III Received (received by whom? The NVC?) I'm confused because the "Packet III received date" is BEFORE the "Packet III sent" date.

I've been visiting VisaJourney for many months now, and the fact I'm confused says that these phrases are NOT clear. Perhaps a legend could be included at the bottom of the table.

Packet IV received?

NVC left? (is this the date the completed case is sent to the Consulate?)

I'm trying to get a sense of how long it now takes from when the IV packet (and I-864 packet) is sent to the NVC to the interview date. But clearly this table means something very different by "sent" than the petitioner doing the sending.

Is the duration now about four months?

08-Oct-2012 -- Married in Chongqing

29-Oct-2012 -- Heavily front-loaded I-130 sent (spouse is Chinese)
02-Nov-2012 -- NOA-1 email received (Receipt Date = November 1, 2012)

28-Feb-2013 -- DS-3032 email received
28-Feb-2013 -- AOS Invoice email received
28-Feb-2013 -- Tried to pay AOS Invoice on the State Department website, but site wouldn't allow the login
01-Mar-2013 -- Sent the Electronic Processing OPTIN email with signed/dated DS-3032 attached
01-Mar-2013 -- Successfully paid AOS Invoice on State Department website
07-Mar-2013 -- EP-OPTIN/DS-3032/AOS-fee-payment confirmation email received with new GZO case number
11-Mar-2013 -- DS-230 invoice received; Successfuly paid DS-230 invoice on State Department website the same day

16-Jul-2013 -- Sent I-864 package (6 MB) via email to NVCElectronic

16-Jul-2013 -- Sent DS-230 package (18 MB) via email to NVCElectronic

30-Jul-2013 -- Received acknowledgement of receipt of DS-230 package

no la - no interview date for me...

iirc, nolanbb was the 'latest one out' that got an interview date set...

tis a new week - lets see if'n that human responsible for releasing slots at GUZ IV is working this week.

Shira:::

Packet III sent? (sent by whom? Me?)
yup - i tell ppl to use that for the DS-230/IV Set SENT date
Packet III Received (received by whom? The NVC?) I'm confused because the "Packet III received date" is BEFORE the "Packet III sent" date.
alas, that's generic, and IS trackable for K-1/2/3/4 visa chasers and not for anyone :

1. using LingChe in the wiki or

2. doing EP

as no one receives a packet 3, a blank set of IV and AOS forms, when going fast. This stuff is downloaded instead, when doing NVC DOC intake.

I've been visiting VisaJourney for many months now, and the fact I'm confused says that these phrases are NOT clear. Perhaps a legend could be included at the bottom of the table.

noted, but don't expect any change, as that's raw data from IGOR'S LIST and data mods rarely occur.

Packet IV received? easy peasy - that's the interview letter date, either written in the pdf file, or going by the received email date or going by the telephone result date

NVC left? (is this the date the completed case is sent to the Consulate?)

again, a dual purpose column. paper filers can call and find out, for CR, IR and K visas. EP filers - eh - SAFEFILE is used, so it's SAME DAY for EP folksen

I'm trying to get a sense of how long it now takes from when the IV packet (and I-864 packet) is sent to the NVC to the interview date. But clearly this table means something very different by "sent" than the petitioner doing the sending.

study a monthly NVC thread and study Saylin's Spreadsheet

Is the duration now about four months?

things have changed since 15 MAY 2013. Prior to that, an EP filer for Guangzhou could get in/out within 2 months if no checklists. After 15 May 2013, something has changed, as the frequency of releasing slots, and/or the number of slots released, from GUZ IV into NVC, has changed up considerably. I only note this pattern 'after the fact' - there's been no word from GUZ IV about any of this - but 15 May 2013 is some 'red letter date' for backroom operations there - somethings changed up and it's affected how/when NVC sets the appointment for EP cases going to Guangzhou

Shira - in that timeline section -

if you see 'Texas Service Center' listed as the service center, then it's usually a DCF case, no NVC doc intake. GUZ IV does send out a packet 3 for those DCF cases.

update - Called in to DoS this morning, no news. Called in again to DoS, circa 13:20 CST, received interview date. Whew !!!

updates in my profile and timeline.

Yes, I am thinking to ask for an earlier date with GUZ IV. Not called NVC yet, today, also not receive packet 4 via email.

-=-=-=-=-

Had a bit of a talk with YanYan overnight about September interview possibility, nothing for August. She was a bit sad, and mentioned GUCCI handbag in a sentence.

-=-=-=-=-

I am a fan of calling DoS Hotline, but they are not open in the evenings or weekends - but their data reflects whats at NVC or GUZ IV (depending on where you are in the timeticks) and it's just faster to get a Human vs NVC.

right - call DoS.

for earlier interview date, though, must to request via email into GUZ IV (they use webform email, only)

---

errata - no date inside the ustraveldocs portal, as of this date/time stamp (but thats ok)

---

I only call DoS during the day, as it's faster to get a Human then - less than 4 minutes on hold.
