We filed my AOS at the post office on Wednesday but have just realized we didn't included the evidence associated with the affidavit of support eg the tax transcripts for my husband :( we've been so busy even though I double checked everything they just got left behind! Will an RFE be sent? Can I send them seperatley?

You'll get an RFE to submit the supporting documentation and can send it in then. I wouldn't recommend sending that information separately before, though.

What if we're able to recall the package? Is it worth doing?? How long does an RFE normally take to be processed?

I'm not sure how you would be able to recall the package if it's already been sent. unsure.png

On RFEs, it seems to vary from what I've read of others' experiences. It would likely depend on whether your case is transferred to the USCIS office in your area or remains at the National Benefits Center.

Do not send anything until you get your NOA. Then you could do a follow up mailing, with a copy of the NOA, and hope it gets with your file. But still be prepared to get an RFE for the proof of income. If you sent other items proving his current income, W2's and and employment letter, you might get lucky and sneak through even if it doesn't catch up with the forms.

Filed: Timeline

do not send anything until further notice from USCIS. i got RFE after almost 3wks of sending my hubby AOS.

my advice make yourself busy collecting ALL the required documents/or the documents you think that your missing. so if ever, you received that hard copy of your RFE's your ready to send things as soon as possible!!

goodluck!!!

The longer it takes to happen the more you'll appreciate it when it does!

We've just been to the post office and luckily it hasn't reached Chicago yet and we've been able to recall it. Our post office was so helpful so it will be back in our mailbox next week. Then I will add in the transcripts and send it off again.

Might as well double check everything you sent against the lists again. You do photocopy everything you send, right?
