yes Leon. my fiance is about to let me know how it went. i checked the uscis website, still on initial review. and this guy Rolao on here is on the same boat with us i honestly dont know how more they want us to wait. like 11 mos is not long enough or alarming enough for them. i mean if i were processing these cases and i am expected to finish them within 5 mos, id cram on one file that i see had been sitting there for 11 mos...but i guess this is not the SOP at CSC :( oh well....

Fantastic. Let me know how it went too. Here's hoping for some good news. I don't think it would be reflected on the website immediately unless they approved the application on the spot.

My fiance has never seen snow before (having lived in the Philippines all her life), so she is eager to go with me on a honeymoon up in the California mountains, where we will stay in a cozy cabin and I'll teach her to ski, among other things. We hope to get married at the end of the year, so it will be a perfect time to do that.

My fiance told me about a Bed and Breakfast cabin in Julian that would be nice to spend our honeymoon. We will see...

We have to get the petition going first as of right now, nothing good came out of the infopass appt. They just wasted his time and didnt say anything that he didnt already know. nothing was done, not even a number or note was scribbled down. he was just told they are aware of the complaints and just to wait it out. no specific time until when, my fiance is thinking of writing a letter to the president himself. that is how desperate we are at this point. We have suffered long enough away from each other, this is just ridiculous already. i am sorry leon, i am venting i guess...its just too much....dont they have feelings at the CSC??? 11 mos??? and we are just told to wait??? until when??? they cant say???? wow!

We can check for you. The advantage you have is that now that the processing date has changed you are more likely to get assistance with a out of date case like yours.

hi there tyler!

we sent an e-request, an infopass appt, wrote the senators and congresswoman and even wrote the ombudsman, nothing came out of it. they just told us to wait. do you have any other ideas on how we can get our petition processed? its been almost 11 mos. this is just too much.

Seriously considering just cancelling the petition and going down the K3 route. I seriously think it'd be quicker to process. Going to contact our local Congressman and if that brings no light on the situation, we will just get married and reapply for a spousal visa. By the looks we could be waiting for another 12 months otherwise. So frustrating!

It's been almost 60 days since our I-130 was approved, and no progress since then. I'm guessing Sequestration is partly to blame. Fewer government employees to share the workload. It's really frustrating.

Hang in there, everyone! We will try to do the same.

Hold tight, guys! My heart really aches for you, as I know what you are going through. Everything is backlogged and constipated, so to speak. Last year, right about the time we filed in March, there was a big Syria refugee application influx, and I think we (the March filers) had surmised that was the big delay. (I think I read recently they have extended/re-opened that again?) Anyway, right after we were lucky enough to get approved, there was then a drastic slow down in the NVC transfer process. Now, there is a huge grinding hault to the AOS approvals. So it's a massive slowing of the machine. Zipline, loved your video and the time you took to make it, thank you! Stay strong everyone. Remember... USCIS cannot stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while. :)

I think the sequestration is the culprit. Even though there is a lot of talk the USCIS practically funds itself with the fees it charges I believe there is no way that it can be immune from being adversely affected. I am of the belief that the sequestration trickles down to all departments of government one way or the other.

I filed a K1 petition on 08/27/2012 and received my first NOA on 08/30/2012. We are still waiting.

The current date that the USCIS CSC is processing is 18 July 2012. They have been stuck on that date for several months now. When I call the USCIS customer service they tell me that they can't file a inquiry because the USCIS is still within its "posted processing date".

253 day's have passed since our first NOA. There there seems to be absolutely nothing I can do on my own to find out the status of our petition.

What can I do to find out the status of our petition?

Thats why they don't post updated processing dates. It would put them behind and they would get a huge amount of inquiries from the congressional offices.

Its a vicious circle. They really need to get their act together. We paid the fees and followed the laws. Why do we have to wait sooooooooo long?
