USCIS Service Centers Slowing Down?

Good news, maybe.

Members of our branch have been scheduled to meet with 3 senators and congress members in just a few days from now. Petitioners pestered event coordinators, provided data and graphs, and worked very hard for those meetings. Another 2 petitioners were also still in the process of getting meetings scheduled with 2 other senators and congress members.

Recently CSC updated their processing times. Those times now within the USCIS goal periods. While there are still pending petitions older than 5 months, this published date allows petitioners to receive more assistance within the standard USCIS framework.

It is unlikely that the USCIS processing goal can be changed, and now that CSC is within that timeframe. VSC filers have specifically asked not to have their data used and we will comply and have agreed to delete the data and not present it.

As a result we are asking that these meetings be canceled or postponed until CSC is once again not within its timeframe.

We wish to thank those petitioners for all their hard work in getting these meetings arranged. We wish to thank Senators John McCain, and Jeff Flake of Arizona, Congressmen Steve King of Iowa, Louie Gohmert of Texas, and John Fleming of Louisiana.

For the time being this project will now go dormant while CSC is processing normally.

i am so sorry to disagree but we are 4 days from waiting 10 months already and still no RFE or NOA2 in sight. You can check for yourself if you dont believe me ---WAC1290443746

So finding that CSC updated their processing times to the 5 month goal escapes my understanding of the whole process, Why are we still not processed?

Tyler are we the only one left? and so because of this we are not gonna be processed yet again???

thanks so much tyler. i am going nuts already and i think 10 months of waiting has been more than patient of us....we feel so depressed and left out at this point that everybody else have been approved or have received an RFE. i hope you would have good news for us soon....

i also went ahead and made an e-request inquiry online at uscis. i hope that gives them the heads up that one case has been left forlorn...

Why are you going dormant? I thought one goal of this Project was to change the way the centers process cases efficiently and transparently and for USCIS to stick to their stated Mission Statement and Core Values. (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=2af29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD&vgnextchannel=2af29c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD) You have done much to put pressure on the centers and changed the way they were processing cases. Thank you for that. I understand that things are "canceled or postponed until CSC is once again not within its timeframe." So does it mean that we only speak out when things are not doing well again or should real change be pushed? I hope you will still present your findings to these Senators and Congressmen you have contacted and make them aware of what's happening. Appreciate your hard work.

We can check for you. The advantage you have is that now that the processing date has changed you are more likely to get assistance with a out of date case like yours.

i had my fiance call them to f-up our case (all they said was yeah it is out of proc time and told us to call after 15 days) and we also had an e-request done on the uscis website. as soon as they changed the proc time to 5 mos. However, until now, nothing....can u please check and see why they havent even touched our file yet?

it is not just the approval became slow even the aprroved petition to be transferred to NVC by USCIS.NBC MISSOURI is really upsetting and frustrating, per their procedural manual, USCIS transfers the approved petitition within 14 days after they approved the said petition, however in my case, my approved I-130 is an IR-5, w/c means visa is always ready, was approved on April 5, 2013 and just need to be transferred by USCIS to NVC to get it going, unfortunately, 52 days as of this writing, no correspondence is received from USCIS or NVC, the sad part about it when we contact their hot line # both USCIS and NVC does not have any record of my approved petition.....so guys if you have similar situation, post it right here....good luck to all of us

Hi all! We Filed our I-129F and are still waiting for NOA2, our petition is at the California office. I am rather concerned as looking at this thread there are some people that have been processed before us from the same service centre, but with later petition dates.

We have tried to call the california office, and despite being put through to a "2nd level advisor, all they can tell us is that the service centre is still processing the 18th July (this is a date everyone seems to recognise!). We also sent an e request around 2 weeks ago, a reply to which was very quick. However, all this did is tell us that they had received our petition on July 25th and it is under "initial Review". My Fiance is a veteran of the US Military, and somehow (and rather naively), I in no way though it would take nearly 11 months to get this far!

I feel very lost and helpless as to what to do next in terms of how we can assess or expedite the progress of our petition. I would really appreciate some help and/or guidance!

When did you call the USCIS? They are now within their processing time of 5 months, so you should be able to get a service request in.

We Called last maybe 2 weeks ago, they told us that they were still processing 18th July. I'm really confused. The letter we had sent to my fiance in the US as a response to the e request stated "please do not call again" at the end!

Are they providing more accurate information now? Very worried!

Just to update you, they changed the processing time at CSC from july 18 to 5 mos. That is why yours and mine (july 26 filer here) are way out of their standard processing time and therefore we are allowed to make an e-request.

I hate to burst your bubble but we already went that route as soon as they changed the processing time last May 21. However, all they would tell you in the response is that its being adjudicated and to wait another 60 days. Like there isnt a problem and like we have not waited long enough (11 mos???? seriously???)

and the senators, congressmen and ombudsman all have the same thing to say....so yeah, it is frustrating. I really dont mind waiting but that is what they told my fiance before. to wait after 8 then 15 days and now 60??? i am worried that the next time they'd say to try next year!

i just cant understand why they can dish out approvals for feb 2013 filers and not be able to squeeze our files in when we have been waiting for 11 mos now.....

try sending another erequest on the uscis website and choose outside processing times. nothing will hurt for you to try at this point. see what they say.

Hi JB smile.png Did you set up that infopass yet?

yes Leon. my fiance is about to let me know how it went. i checked the uscis website, still on initial review. and this guy Rolao on here is on the same boat with us i honestly dont know how more they want us to wait. like 11 mos is not long enough or alarming enough for them. i mean if i were processing these cases and i am expected to finish them within 5 mos, id cram on one file that i see had been sitting there for 11 mos...but i guess this is not the SOP at CSC :( oh well....
