Stay positive!!! So far in May, USCIS CSC has already approved over 100 applications. I am January 2013 filler and I have to say that the last 6 week have been very good and bring more hope. The worst has gone and we can only get better from year on.

The USCIS CSC graph if telling me that there processing time is 7.5 months for K1 visa. Our petition is nearly at 8.5 months of being "under review". I want to know the true status of our petition.

I can imagine a couple of hundred people working in cubicles in a large building in Laguna Niguel, and my folder folder/petition sitting at the bottom of a big heap of other folder/petitions.

When they receive your petition they disassemble it and scan it for entry into their system. The original packet is stored separately. Once accepted they send you a notice or NOA1.

After that it mostly sits in a queue for review.

By ‘under review’ we assume you mean ‘Initial Review’. That would mean you’re still in the waiting queue.

The analogy of sitting on the bottom of a ‘big heap’ is not far from reality. The good news is that that you shouldn’t be on the bottom but closer to the top.

We do know there has been some movement on reviews in the past 2 days but USCIS lacks transparency making it difficult to give you anything firm. The majority of august petitions have been completed in the past couple of weeks.

USCIS ramped up activity recently to clear the backlog. We expected the increased activity to last another 2.5 weeks but the volume overloaded NVC capabilities and so they changed priorities. It looks like they may be restarting efforts. If so you will see 2 separate patterns of approval. One for older petitions like yours and another for newer December and January NOA1s.

There is light at the end of the tunnel for you, use this time to prepare for your interview. We understand your frustration but you’re almost done.

I can imagine your frustration as i share the same sentiments. I am a july 26 filer and tho a lot of july and august filers got their noa2s and RFEs last April, i still had nothing and when we follow it up with uscis, they would just shrug us off as being within the processing timeframe (july 18) for csc and wont even tell us anything about our file. we have been patient but waiting for almost 10 months now while the rest are getting their noa2s right and left makes us feel what the heck is going on? i mean, dont get me wrong, i am happy for all those that got their approvals but what about ours? we deserve to be looked at and reviewed by now right????

i am a july 25 filer but at least we got our RFE on feb. 8 and they received our response march 1, it's beyond 60 days, no response from them yet...my fiance called them and they replied to wait for another 30 days...hope it's coming soon...so frustrating!!!

My petition was filed on December,2012 for which is 5 month now,its possible for us to recieve NOA2 before 6 month?

Yes its definitely possible! Where did your petition get sent to? If you fill out your timeline you'll get an estimated approval date. It is very much "estimated" though :)

If you filed at CSC youll be very likely to get approved this month or next month

Zipline - excellent work, one of my friends knows first hand from his amigos that daca rules, while we wait and go to the back of the bus. We are lucky and are are at I751/ROC, by the time we get approved she will be able to apply for citizenship. How lame is that, what a wast ot time and money on everyones parts, us and the USCIS. I always told her to cross witht he Mexicans, easier and faster, ha ha. Unfornately I will loose my clearance if she did that.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I'm think my wife will be in the same situation when we apply for ROC next year. AOS took 8 months and I'm guessing it would have been longer had we not gotten congressional and senatorial assistance giving a little push. I'm wondering how many adjucators they've added to deal with DACA and how long this will last?
