Hi,

Apologies for starting a new thread on this - I searched and searched but couldn't find an answer.

I'm confused about the varicella vaccine. On my husband's DS-3025 the "Not Age Appropriate" box is checked for it. The Civil Surgeon is telling us he has to have it in order to transfer the info to the I-693A.

Does he have to get the vaccine?

If he has had CP does he still have to get it?

If no, what do we have to provide as proof he has had it?

Thanks in advance!

If he's had CP, a varicella titre will show a positive test (which needs to be recorded). Varicella can be given to children to prevent CP, but is ineffective for one who's had it.

Carola, the doctor ripped you off, you did not need the vaccination nor does USCIS require it if you had it.

Bist doch eh immun dagegen wenn Du es hattest als Kind.

But some of those civil surgeons, within the US and in the other countries just wanna make money with the whole procedure. Sad but true!

Oh boy! do they want to rip us off!

One CS - $75 to fill out the I-693A, another $75 for the vaccine (they want proof he had CP or the vaccine)

The Health Dept's adult vaccination clinic - $75 for the vaccine, they don't do the blood test

Another CS - "No, he needs a physical." I explained nicely that he only needs the info transfered from one form to another and maybe the varicella vaccine. Then he says he needs the documentation from his physical in France. I explained that the form is a supplement and the government already has his physical info. He got snotty and said "Then how do I know his syphilis status? His HIV?" So I said, "Thank you for your time. You obviously have never seen the I-693A form." But oh, I bet he has and he's screwing every possible person for as much money he can get!

Like Joe Pesci said "They **** you at the drive through!"

Argh!!!!!!!!!
