See, this I can get down with. At least you are civil enough to say what your issue is with the story. Being a minority and going through it countless times, I know this exists. What you are saying could very well be the case, but if he said you people, then sorry, he's discriminating. That's what some non minorities don't get, this stuff happens on a daily basis, sometimes it's more covert, others it's blatent. I'll give an example(think I told this story before):

A friend and I were going to TGIF in South Korea. We'd been at work all day and just wanted to have some good food and relax before calling it a night. We were seated and given menus. After looking them over, we placed them down and waited for our server to come back and take our orders. We started talking about the job and ship life, you know, casual conversation, that went on for quite a while. I remember my shipmate saying" Hey, it's been 20 minutes, we haven't even gotten our drinks yet." Now before you start calling racism, you have to look around to make sure it's not just you. I looked to see how busy they were, only a few other people in there so I hailed a waitress. She came over and I said we were ready to order and get our drinks. She said wait a moment and then she ran to the back and dissapeared. Another 5 minutes went by, I thought it was because we spoke English, but I heard a few white families talking english and the servers talked back perfect english. By this time my friend was fuming mad, he wanted to leave. I calmly told him to sit tight, I'll try to handle this. I went and asked for the manager. She came out and asked what the problem was. I told her we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes just to get drinks, what was the hold up. She apologized profusley and got us our drinks and food within 10 minutes. She never did tell us why, but we did get money off of our meal.

Your dinner in South Korea is also off-topic. Add that to your report.

thought you'd see it my way, sport.

Yes, you're off the hook. The wiggling distracted me.

For sure. If he said what she said he did, he needs to be punched in the face. No excuse.

Well, I haven't lived your life so no doubt my perception is a little different. I don't see any discernible racism in your story. Why specifically do you think the server gave you poor service because of your race? Similar stuff happens to me at restaurants. Sometimes a server has another party and doesn't give a ####### about the two of us at a table. I mean, I guess maybe it was, but it could be many others things very easily.

when the same scenario happens to you over and over, in varying situations and with varying types of people, you can't help but apply the pattern.

You know, not to excuse anyone here, all of this would have been circumvented if she just kept up with her ticket.

If'n you read the whole article, you might have glommed on to the fact that she didn't have a ticket to the dinner, at all.

Especially if you have a big puffed up sense of entitlement and a chip on your shoulder about it

I think the Dr. had a failure point in the first 5 minutes, really.

She could have asked security to retrieve her keys from her husband, and they most likely would have accomodated her.

That was pointed out. But it appears that based on her ethnicity and religion that little (critical but was it all that important really?) detail was supposed to be "overlooked"

i get where you empathize with the first, but really, you have no place commenting on the latter..

Is this another white people and religion trail? Because really the last one sort of petered out for you

I care enough about security in general to know better than to pi$$ them off by making remarks to them about what they are doing and how they are doing it
