Racist Experience at the White House

Ms Jilani didn't have a ticket to begin with that's why.

The comment "you all" was applied because people who commit crimes and then publicly associate their crimes with Islam get those crimes associated with Islam by non-Muslims.

The "you all" was not associated with race, it was associated with religion and guess what is the solution to this? It lies within Islam iteslf and it is the responsibility of Muslims to self-police and ensure that the crimes associated with the religion by those who commit them are NOT associated with religion by those who are non-Muslim. Until this happens and happens on a large scale and the zealouts are systematically weeded out this attitude is to be expected.

As a bonus and since it's you kindly apply the above comment to the inner city, urban, black community as well.

So crimes that are caused by white people should garner the same response?

This has nothing to do with the black community, stay on topic or I'll report you.

You can get in trouble for going off topic?

Sorry, I normally don't do that, but in Himher's case I have to since he just loves to put down black people.

Yep, cause if you're a minority and a muslim, you have to shoulder the blame, but when a white person goes on a shooting rampage, that's their problem.

Ok. I'm sure I'd have been banned by now if that was the case.

Back to topic then....... Stuff like this happens..... all the time. For some reason though this story (and I have no proof one way or the other) just seems like a stretch to me. I don't know if its the ticket part, but I just don't believe this story as she tells it. Maybe being a white guy with little experience in being discriminated against makes it hard for me to believe. Or maybe she's just pissed that guy wouldn't let her in without a ticket. Or maybe she wasn't as attractive as the ones getting through without an issue. See any concert ever for precedence. One would assume a higher bar for white house security, but you know how dumb us guys get around gorgeous women.

meh

It's the little indignities that slowly devastate your soul. The ones where your guard is down, and you just expect to dress up, look pretty, and enjoy an evening as a newlywed, or at the Oscars, but instead end up humiliated and snubbed. The ubiquitous racist slap in the face is thinly veiled just beneath the carefully crafted façade. This filthy, highly infectious plague is transforming our nation into one of unwarranted suspicion and anguish inflicted on disenfranchised, voiceless people of color. And now, it is no longer my job to enlighten you. To quote what you so often tell ethnic communities, "It's time for you to step up to the plate, take responsibility, and stop taking what I have earned," my integrity, my dignity.

This has nothing to do with the black community, stay on topic or I'll report you.

It's the percieved notion that certain ethnicities will be more likely to follow Islam....like the assumptions you have about black people which is your comment is "on-topic" and my comment that the same self-policing that will demonstrate a separation between Islam and the crimes committed in the name of Islam also applies to the inner city community is "off-topic"

The reason for this can only be: Because of your different skin color you feel 'entitled' to (first and freely in the form of an insult) bring up "black people" but because of my skin color if I say the words "black people" it's off-topic and reportable.

I am sure of one thing. "crimes that are caused by white people" most assuredly and definitely have nothing to do with this topic. (1) Get back on topic and then (2) go report that (I) politely but firmly told (you) to go stick your feelings of 'entitlement', which we are getting sick of anyway, somewhere else besides in this thread then (3) in your report be sure that you note that it was fairly earned

See, this I can get down with. At least you are civil enough to say what your issue is with the story. Being a minority and going through it countless times, I know this exists. What you are saying could very well be the case, but if he said you people, then sorry, he's discriminating. That's what some non minorities don't get, this stuff happens on a daily basis, sometimes it's more covert, others it's blatent. I'll give an example(think I told this story before):

A friend and I were going to TGIF in South Korea. We'd been at work all day and just wanted to have some good food and relax before calling it a night. We were seated and given menus. After looking them over, we placed them down and waited for our server to come back and take our orders. We started talking about the job and ship life, you know, casual conversation, that went on for quite a while. I remember my shipmate saying" Hey, it's been 20 minutes, we haven't even gotten our drinks yet." Now before you start calling racism, you have to look around to make sure it's not just you. I looked to see how busy they were, only a few other people in there so I hailed a waitress. She came over and I said we were ready to order and get our drinks. She said wait a moment and then she ran to the back and dissapeared. Another 5 minutes went by, I thought it was because we spoke English, but I heard a few white families talking english and the servers talked back perfect english. By this time my friend was fuming mad, he wanted to leave. I calmly told him to sit tight, I'll try to handle this. I went and asked for the manager. She came out and asked what the problem was. I told her we had been waiting for almost 30 minutes just to get drinks, what was the hold up. She apologized profusley and got us our drinks and food within 10 minutes. She never did tell us why, but we did get money off of our meal.
