Sara, just read your thread, take a look at this:

When I asked why the security representatives offered to personally escort white women without tickets downstairs while they watched me flounder, why they threatened to call the Secret Service on me, I was told, "We have to be extra careful with you all after the Boston bombings."

Racism: (def) Enforcing rules that I feel I should not have to follow because of my minority status or skin color because that contradicts my sense of entitlement

that doesn't even make sense. maybe it would have been easier to just give the word and add your siggy.

LOL doesn't make sense to you? I'm stunned.

If she had a ticket to get in and was turned away it does not make sense. If she did not have a ticket to get in and was not allowed in then cried racism over it then it does make sense.

Unless others were allowed in without tickets because of race. In this article, you'd be taking here word that this occurred.

Also, according to this woman, the guy specifically said he was treating her race more cautiously as a result of recent Islam related attacks. Even though those guys were white.

Point is this is a good example of racism in action if it really happened the way she says for the same reasons she suggests. Maybe those guys knew the white chick without tickets. This information, we don't know.

Yep. So we know she didnt have a ticket, was not allowed in, and cried racism. The rest was speculated.

It's funny trying to explain racism to a racist, but here goes:

Then something remarkable happened. I watched as they let countless other women through -- all Caucasian -- without even asking to see their tickets. I asked why they were allowing them to go freely when they had just told me that I needed a ticket. Their response? "Well, now we are checking tickets." He rolled his eyes and let another woman through, this time actually checking her ticket. His smug tone, enveloped in condescension, taunted, "See? That's what a ticket looks like." Of course I wouldn't expect you to understand.

We have to be extra careful with you all after the Boston bombings." Can you explain this Himher? Because to me this looks like she was targeted because of skin color and religion.

The next affront came quickly thereafter. "You were here last year, weren't you? You caused trouble here last year too. I know you," they claimed, accusing me of being a party-crasher. Completely confused, I explained that this was my first time here and that I had no idea what he was referencing. Clearly, he had assumed all brown people look the same and had confused me for someone else.

Go head and explain it, I'll wait.

Racism:

  1. The belief that each race has distinct and intrinsic attributes.
  2. The belief that one race is superior to all others.
  3. Prejudice or discrimination based upon race.

The actual definition of the word.
