Hi all, can I have some advice on paying the visa fee? I got an email from the consulate telling me the date my appointment had been scheduled for and giving me the link to the ustraveldocs site to sort out payment. So i've found my way to this page: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/au/au-niv-paymentinfo.asp Is that the right place?

It has all these instructions, I'm supposed to register a profile online and then I can go and pay (I think I'll just pay at Australia Post seeing as I've got to go there to buy the 3kg envelope anyway), and it also says that once you've paid, then you 'schedule your appointment' online. My question is, don't I already have a scheduled appointment? Do I just put in the date and time that I've been given, into the system, and that confirms it or something?

Thanks in advance, :D

Hey Riss,

I paid mine online. I went to my local post office and they had no clue what to do. I didn't want to risk them somehow stuffing it up so I said not to worry and paid online.

Yes, you already have a scheduled appointment. I didn't do the 'schedule appointment online' thing. Just make sure you print off a receipt for them to sight that payment has been made.

Sorry,

I can't help you with this one. I don't can't remember how I did it. I know a while ago people were having similar issues with paying for the visa online. If you search it and look through the previous threads, there may have been a solution.

Austex, do you remember what category you selected? It seems a lot of people have said they couldn't pay online because there wasn't a K-1 category. Then others said they just selected the 'nonimmigrant' category. I'm not sure how this works as I haven't set up my profile and tried to pay yet, but it sounds like that's what's happening with Adrian-Danielle.

Hi all, I actually emailed the embassy as I wasn't having any luck paying online either. They advised that I must pay at Aus Post. The post office had a problem reading the barcode I printed out but keyed in the numbers under the barcode no worries. Hope this info helps.

Sorry I didn't see your question, I can't remember but my visa is a IR1 so unless that makes a difference. I have the confirmation receipt and they def took the money out of my bank. I also have a confirmation letter.

Help... Now I'm trying to create my 'new user registration', to set up a profile... It asks for a user name, my full name, password, etc. and then when I try to enter it, it tells me there's an error, my email address is invalid. There is NO FIELD FOR AN EMAIL ADDRESS. What am I supposed to do???

Oh it's okay, my mistake. The note next to 'user name' says that it needs to be entered in an email address format. At least I managed to figure that one out myself! no0pb.gif

It turns out I am already registered - i.e. my email username is already in existence. I clicked 'forgot password' and it sent me a new one. I can't work out how I could have already been registered as I haven't done this before. I did register with the USCIS site a long time ago, so that I could go in and check the status of my original petition - could that have been part of the same system maybe?

*sigh* This really is impossible. I am in there and I have run up against the same problem that Adrian-Danielle did. There are only options for business, tourists, students, crew. Each of those options asks you to select a visa type before you can go on, and none of the visa types includes 'K'. I'm going to have to write to the consulate. According to this thing, you can't pay at the post office without a payment slip that you print off after creating this online profile. I can't get to the point where it issues me a payment slip unless I can select a visa type!

Okay!!! I think I've finally got it. It's a bit confusing because the online payment instructions say that you have to click 'schedule appointment' and then follow that through. But for paying at the post office you just have to print out the deposit slip. The instructions for that tell you to log in to your profile before printing that out, but I'm not sure why you would need to. Anyway under the instructions for paying at Australia Post, there's a set of options with the different visa fees. I'm doing a K visa so based on the visa fee information page I need to pay $240, so I selected that one, and it generates my deposit slip in pdf format. Okay now I just need to calm down. lol!
