Looks my my DS230 package is being reviewed. Unfortunately I received an email stating that I needed to send in the police certificate for my wife.....which I'm 100% sure I did. Even made copies of the package before sending it off. When I called the NVC to inquire about this they said "We have the certificate for Moldova, but we also need the Romanian one since she is from Romania"

My wife has never stepped foot in Moldova wacko.png , and the certificate sent in with the package clearly states, in english, "Romania Police Certificate" . After explaining that to him, then stated that he "guess they are not requesting Maldova" and to just send in the police certificate again. I asked if a copy will suffice since I did after all send the original to them. He said yes.

Has anyone ever experienced this? I could see papers getting lost, but papers possibly getting mixed with other cases??

You can send copy without any problems. I sent mine copy of police certificate they accepting it . They even lost my ds 230 package and police certificate

rather debate with then they cannot do anything. You can try to email supervisor to see if they check in the mail room. Make sure to include delivery confirmation on It.

Well, just an update on this issue. I just got off the phone with the NVC regarding me resending the police certificate. I left a note on it stating it is a copy because the original was sent with the package. Which they seem to have lost. They did receive it and review it. Now they are saying it can't be a copy! I was told that a copy should be good since I did actually send them the original. They also keep saying that they have her police certificate from Maldova......SHES NEVER BEEN THERE. Nor did I send any paper work with that word in it dry.png. This is an easy fix, but will require more and more time to fix.

After almost a whole year being seperated, I was able to put down for leave and I fly out on Monday to visit my wife sad.png. I'm in the military and we are low manned where I work. Taking leave is a bit of a challenge. We will run to her home town to get a new police certificate.........
