Hey guys

I have a few question but before judging me Please read the whole post carefuly ( iTS NOT LIKE WE DONT HAVE ANY FINANCIAL TIE)

Here is what we sent them before received the RFE letter

Copy of car loan papers ( both name on it, its for a new car so it is quite a bit of money that we have to take reponsibility for but it only started in february last year)

Joint heath insurance, joint car insurance, Life insurance polocy show that we are eachother benefactor, my husband 401 k show I am the beneficiary

and we sent other things as well but the things we dont have is joint bank account, joint lease or mortgage or both name on the utility bills ( stupid me, JUST never think about it). My husband bought the house before we get married, everything is on his name and I just never think about adding my name on them.

so MY QUESTION IS DO WE NEED TO EXPLAIN FOR THEM WHY WE DONT HAVE THOSE THINGS IF SO WHAT WOULD BE THE GOOD REASON TO EXPLAIN TO THE USCIS THAT WE DONT HAVE JOINT BANK ACCOUNT OR JOINT UTILITY BILLS?

on the RFE letter they ask for evidence of commual residence, this documentation should reflect the name of both name. I dont know if they just want us to show that we live at the same anddress or they want us to prove that we share financial reponsiblity since we get married.

we both have saperate bank account but the billing anddress is the same, all utility bills is on my husband name, I do have magazine subscribtion, hospital bill, purchase made by me deliveved to the same anddress that we live. I guess it can show that we live together ( I know it is not strong but we have to send what we have)

we have a 3 years contract with alarmforce with both name on it ( started jun last years) that im going to send them, I also have my retirement plan that name my husband is the beneficiary.

Im going to send them 2010 tax transcript, 2011 tax transcript, I sent 2011 copy of tax return before, and copy of 2012 tax return ( all joint filling as married couple) send more photos, 2 affidavid letters from our friend and my parent in law, send wedding cards, birthday card from my parent in law, cards that we give to eachother.

what do you guys think?

Thank you for your time!

Me and my husband never had a joint bank account. I did not explain this or provide this information. Couples handles finances differently. There's no rule that says you have to a joint bank account.

I do not think a letter to explain this is necessary. I think you already have good proof - car loan to me is very good proof. I would submit what I have but do not explain what you do not have. Let them sort through the paperwork and figure out what additional information they need

Dont worry. I went through the same thing with a RFE. I did not know whatelse to send since there wasnt anything else to send. So my wife (the citizen) called the USCIS, asked to talk to level 2 (somebody higher up) and the guy said straight up "this is just to refresh/update information" he also said to her "if you guys are still married, you shoudnt have any problem sending us new stuff" ... bottom line ... depending on how late they star to work on your file, they might ask "updated" paper work, thats all.

Just send whatever you got as long as they are RECENT !!
