Hey all,

I placed an expedite on our K-1 due to both extreme medical and financial hardships. The same day it was reviewed and denied without any further request for information. I have read of other people having their expedite approved for reasons including losing one week of pay and we are losing over 1 year of pay in addition to extreme medical issues! I was not contacted about the denial, rather when I called to ask about the expedite, I was told that I was denied without any reason. Is it possible to have the denial reviewed? Is it possible to request another expedite? We are in an extreme situation that warrants an expedite. Thanks in advance!

You can request a new expedite and submit more evidence but the very notion of justifying expediting a K-1 is a tall order. You may get lucky and you will never know if you don't give it another try.

When I submitted my request over the phone I was told that I didn't need to supply any evidence until it was requested. Do I send another request via mail with all of the evidence?

I went online and all it says was that they updated my address (I was told I had to provide my US address even though I am residing abroad). The representative I spoke to told me that the officer wrote no reason.

on my hubby K1 stage i did tried to expedite too. few days they send me a email to forward the evidence/proof in few days it was denied even we had enough proof.

i wasn't satisfied with the result,i even contacted my congress and senate..no luck lol

i tried 2-3x expediting his K1. but we weren't lucky. (by the way there's no maximum amount trying to expedite your K1 and it's not true that it will slow down your case processing)

every case is different, on yours it might work to try again. goodluck!!!

That might help. It is fairly easy to say 'no' over the phone, without acutally seeing the reason for the request.
