Out of status (F-1) but GC forms processing from marriage.. Am I all good?

Heya,

I've just become out of status with my F-1 from not studying enough units this semester. However, Im married to a US citizen and our green card and EAD forms are all being processed. Seeing I entered the country legally (which i know is the main thing), does it matter if I am 'out of status' if my forms are being processed?

I've heard its not an issue as long as i entered legally and it hasn't been more than 180 days and i haven't travelled in the time I've been OOS.

Dont know what to believe.

Moved from student/exchange visas to adjustment from work, student, tourist as the OP is filing adjustment of status not for a student visa.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Since your forms are being processed now, you are in a period of "authorized stay." You should be fine.

Day 0 - 2 May 2012 Mailed AOS package overnight delivery
Day 139 - 17 September 2012 Interview & APPROVED on the Spot!! :)
Day 145 - 23 September 2012 Received Green Card!

ROC - Eligible June 19 2014

Day 0 - 18 June 2014 Mailed ROC package via 2 day priority

Day 42 - 29 July 2014 Approval and Card Production Email

Day 49 - 5 August 2014 Received Green Card
