Under 14yr and biometric question

Hello all,

My step son is 9years old. He came here with a K-2 visa. I am working on his AOS now. About a week ago he received a biometric letter with an appoiment.

My question, I thought that children under 14 didn't need the biometric. Can some one answers my doubt?

base in that topic children under 14 don't need it. but ofcourse USCIS still charge you for it..lol

My wife and stepdaughter who arrived last year on K1, K2 visa had to go to their biometric appointments when we processed their AOS, so yes you need to bring him. I believe they will take photo and fingerprint as well.

My stepdaughter was only 5 years old.
