Hi,

I have recently moved, around a month ago, from one address to another within the UK. I received my NOA2 this morning (hooray!) and need to get this changed appropriately in order to receive the necessary paperwork from the London consulate. Who would I need to contact (USCIS, NVC or consulate) in order to receive this?

Thanks in advance.

Jon

Hi Jon

Funny you should post on this topic as I have exactly the same dilemma right now. I posted on it here a couple of weeks ago and nobody seemed to be able to help me.

NVC wouldn't help us as they said the case had been sent to London. Trouble is, London's phone number is an extortionate rate and I'm not even sure they can help.

I'm going to try calling this afternoon will let you know how I get on..

Anyone else who sees this and can help would be welcome to comment too..

Thanks

As we have all come to understand, things can become convoluted when conducting immigration business.

Good luck.

I think this is for when we have entered into the US.

I just tried calling their extortionate number - got the message that they are experiencing high call volumes and can't take the call.

As predicted...

Massively frustrating....

Hi,

Yeah, let me know how you get on.

I may contact the NVC and ask if they can change it. I know, since it was only approved yesterday, that they wouldn't have received it yet and may be able to change it.

Hopefully that will work.

Hi - I just saw this post and it put my mind at ease....I think we'll call the DOS instead....and just be sure to put my new address on all the forms I send into the embassy so they use my current address for the interview letter...here's the post:

"I wouldn't even bother to try a last minute change of address. It'll probably get screwed up anyway. She doesn't need that letter. Print off Dan's copy for her reference. The letter lets her know London is ready for her to send in forms. You can get that same bit of information by calling the Dept of State and asking if London has logged your file (the whole file that comes from USCIS). If it is logged, then proceed sending in her London forms.

Meanwhile fill out all forms for London with the new address. They will send her interview letter to the (new) address on her forms. She needs the interview letter to get in the door (but there are ways around that too).

DOS 202-663-1225 press 1, then 0

Either of you can call. It's a US number. They can find your info by using your WAC or LND number. If you did t get the LND number from the NVC, they can tell you your new case number."

I have just emailed the NVC and requested a change of address. Since they have not yet received our petition from USCIS I am hoping they will be able to change it at this stage.

I will let you know the outcome though.

Funny, that is my post and the exact same info I was trying to give you when you asked before. But you chose to offer a snide remark instead of asking for further clarification from somebody taking time to help you. You could have had your answer a week ago.
