I plan to apply soon I need to know if K1 is faster then K3 , knowing that me and my fiance never been married or something ?! Is this a plus .

And can my fiance Proccess forms for K3 while is out of USA ?!

Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: In particular, the visa comparison chart:

http://www.visajourney.com/content/compare

The K-3 visa is virtually obsolete, and is administratively closed by the DoS, look at IR-1/CR-1, check out these FAQs;

Good luck.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

Spouse is generally faster, but that will depend on where your file actually ends up for review.

Local offices have been handling the majority of the adjudication process for 130's

Mine was approved in 2.5 months, but I have seen plenty taking much longer

There is no longer K3 not it's CR1/IR1.

As far as processing time they varie from service centers tipically it can take anywhere from 5+ months, unless you are lucky enough to have your petition get sent to one of the service center who has been processing petition within a couple of months.

That's incorrect. There is a K3 visa. There is still a path for that visa. It is just rarely given and pretty much obsolete.

Most, if not all, recent petitions are sent to the NBC. From there they generally send them to local offices. In some cases they will adjudicate them, for instance when the petitioner lives abroad or... just because they want to. But you are correct that the local offices have a varied time of approval. Some are fast and some are slow.
