We are waiting for the system to update and then going to set up the interview as soon as the payment is posted.

We are wanting to try to get the 27th of this month for the interview.

As long as everything goes according to plan and she gets approved should she have her visa by the 12th of June?

I'm wanting to book the flight after she's told she's approved on the 27th. So if I book the flight on the 12th of June and return with her on the 18th of June should she have the Visa by then?

I hear 4-8 business days. She's wanting to get here by my youngest son's birthday on the 19th of June.

Thanks a ton for any insight.

Have you reviewed Hank_ 's handy dandy guide to K-1 processing in the phils?

You should, you know, as that stuff is covered there.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Ok, here's a different question that you guys can answer being from PI and stuff.

We are wondering if it would be faster to pick it up in Cebu than to have it come all the way to Ormoc?

Since I'm assuming it would go by plane from Manila to Cebu and then out to the 2GO places it would be faster and ready to pick up faster than letting it go from Manila to Cebu to Ormoc (the 1 2GO station they have).

Am I right on this?

Thanks in advance.

if the interview is in Manila, y not pick up in MOA. if not in manila, then i think pick it up in Cebu.... if in a hurry and the interview is in Manila, pick it up in MOA...

if the interview is on the 27th and got approved, 3 weeks should be enough to have the visa on hand already..

Well the interview is in Manila but she lives in Ormoc.

So we're trying to figure a way to get it fastest.

I guess it's an option to stay in Manila a couple days till she gets it. Mall of Asia is MOA right?

I'm assuming it gets there in just a couple of days.

Edit:

What city would I pick in the drop down for Metro Manila? There are so many of them.

ok so the interview is in Manila.. the advice is to pick up the visa at 2GO SM Mall of Asia if in a hurry.. in 2 days, it should be available already..but ofcourse u need to call 2go in moa too or they will text ur fiancee.. check the link i sent to u... once she is approved she will be asked to go to another window regarding the pick up/delivery of her visa..she may then tell the officer that she wants to pick it up in MOA. ya, maybe extend few days of stay in manila so that she will get the visa faster...

Mall of Asia (MOA) is in Pasay...

Also when u schedule the interview u will be asked too where u want to pick up or deliver the visa.. so u may select MOA.Mall of Asia is near the Manila US Embassy... assuming that 2GO MOA branch is the nearest or probably the first branch who receives the visa. thats why if in a hurry the embassy suggest to pick up the visa at 2GO MOA branch in Pasay.. smile.png

Thank you. I looked at the link just now, overlooked it earlier.

It says it could show up a day or two sooner (than the 7-10 posted days) which is definitely helpful. That's far off from the 2 days you say it would take.

We will go that route. Thank you for the suggestion. She can just stay with an Aunt while in Manila.

just giving an approximate time of at least 2 days as it could take up to 2 days. but can get it sooner esp when u are in a hurry.. so if she has her Aunt in Manila then MOA is a good place to pick up her passport. and maybe even fly before the 18th..

it really depends how fast the embassy prints the visa and forwards to 2GO then to other 2GO branches.. depends when there is holiday or other things that might happen along the way.but MOA is recommended by embassy if in a hurry to pick up the yellow packet. on our part, we need to contact or visit our preferred 2GO branch or wait for their text if the packet is there already.

but for some, it took them 3 days or more but less than 1 week in that moa branch.but atleast it's still faster. still need to contact usem and 2go to check on the packet if it is ready to be picked up or wait for the text. goodluck!.
