OMG today I just read in the paper where a little girl in 1st grade was suspended for a week and the school wants her enrolled in counsling for sex abuse! why you ask she was found to have a barbie and ken doll in a shoe box out on the playground befor school the teacher felt that the dolls in the box looked like they were having sex!! come on People get real ! and yet in one state the school was teaching 1st and 2nd and 3rd grade boys how to properly put on a condum and explaining what they are for ! so tell me have we lost our common sense or what? I know some of you have heard or read about things that just dont make any sense where schools, and such are making things out to be bigger problems then what they really are.

Schools & school districts with so-called "zero-tolerance" policies have usually thrown common sense -- and certainly room for clear judgment -- out the window, sigh man.

If the above were my kid, I'd be in their faces at minimum -- more likely tearing their heads off and crapping in their lungs. In short, administrators and teachers need to remember that THEY work for US, not the converse.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Schools have weird rules and regulations. With the zero-tolerance stuff, kids get suspended for the smallest thing. Yet bullying is extremely problematic nowadays. Schools focus on weird things, and always have, when it comes to punishment. I still don't understand the harshness of dress codes, for example.

I am the USC/petitioner.

Our K-1 Journey
12/19/2012 - Mailed I-129F via USPS Express
12/21/2012 - I-129F arrives in Lewisville, TX according to USPS tracking (delayed because it's the USPS)
12/21/2012 - NOA1 date of receipt
12/26/2012 - NOA1 received via text/email
12/27/2012 - Checked cashed by USCIS
12/31/2012 - Alien Number changed (NOA1 hardcopy in post, but was away for 2 weeks prior)

05/16/2013 - NOA2 received via text/email

05/20/2013 - NOA2 hardcopy received in post

05/28/2013 - NVC receives packet and assigns London case number

07/15/2013 - Sent all paperwork/medical complete

08/23/2013 - Receive Interview Date

09/19/2013 - Interview

zero-tolerance policies have come about from the ever-growing moral decay that the parents live in/through and pass on .

It's 4th generation now.

Sorry !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I agree with you in that moral decay is one of the largest problems in society. Curious though, what timeline do you use to describe a generation? Using the accepted definition of a generation being roughly 18 years, you would be putting the beginning of this moral decay somewhere around the1940's. Correct?

Schools and the school boards are just going bonkers.

I am sure lot of you guys must have seen the student lecturing the teacher about how to teach a class, where he is mad at the teacher as teacher was just handing out the packets instead of teaching in the class.

Few months back I heard a news story where some teacher had made it her full-time business building those packets and selling those packets to other teachers.

Just demonstrates the teachers capabilities to teach and handle students.
