police clearance certificate from Columbia, for a foreign national, not currently in Columbia.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

u have a colombian id right? click on that link and in "nuestros servicios" consultas de antecedentes. write the number its easy

she has a id that says cedula de extranjeria temporal and has the #. which option do I choose? Extranjería?

it doesn't show her name on the result page. I guess I can scan her ID and attach it with this

cuidadania came out with a guy's name. so I went with extranjeria instead. I printed out the result to PDF and attached her scanned ID with refusal notice with this. Hope everything goes well without english translation. Thanks a lot for your help

the one I got online didn't work. they refused and said "We need an original or notarized copy of a Colombian police report covering your time in Colombia, with a certified English translation."

so I e-mailed them saying the consulate officer gave my wife the Colombia website telling her to get the police certificate there and that's what I did. Do I just need to translate the one we turned in or a different police certificate? How do we get it if we're not in Colombia?

and then they replied "Please refer to the website or contact the Colombian authority regarding how to obtain the police certificate."

this is getting so fustrating! would appreciate any help I can get on this. I tried calling them but they speak Spanish, they said hold on and just hung up on me. everyone is so helpful there! -.-
