My I129F petition was recently approved by CSC and sent to the NVC. I have called twice to the NVC and they have not given me much information, they just say they don't know what happens when it goes to the consulate (really, you don't know?). So they told me my documents were mailed to the consulate in Rio in Brazil... Can someone tell me what will happen next? I feel like I don't have any direction! Will the consulate contact me or my Brazilian fiance and how will they contact him? Through mail? Feeling a little lost! sad.png Thanks VJ.

First NVC will recieve and issue a case number then ship it off the Rio and once they process it they will send out the packet three to your fiance which will show everything that will be needed for the interview. The main thing is to get both of the state and federal police certificates that are required. The consulate is issuing interviews very quickly in Brazil within around two days on their website. I have posted a link for you good luck.
