What happens when documents go from NVC to Consulate? Help!

My I129F petition was recently approved by CSC and sent to the NVC. I have called twice to the NVC and they have not given me much information, they just say they don't know what happens when it goes to the consulate (really, you don't know?). So they told me my documents were mailed to the consulate in Rio in Brazil... Can someone tell me what will happen next? I feel like I don't have any direction! Will the consulate contact me or my Brazilian fiance and how will they contact him? Through mail? Feeling a little lost! :( Thanks VJ.

May 2010: Met Marcelo in Brazil.
August 2011: Revisited Marcelo in Brazil. Started dating =).
May 2012-August 2012: Another extended trip to Brazil to stay with Marcelo and his family.
October 25 2012: Sent I129F Petition.
October 31 2012: Received NOA1.
April 23, 2013: Received NOA2
June 11, 2013: K1 Visa Approved!!!!
