I don't remember so much whining when I was visajourneying. There were a few whiners on VJ then, but they were the exception.

Todays VJ is so different. Processing times are down but the people have lost all semblance of reality.

The latest round of this, with petitions and videos and calls to march on Washington, was really quite something, especially when it fizzled out once everybody started getting approved.

There were 2 proposed changes to 9FAM , over the last 2 'sessions' , these last two years,

that took gender out, also took out 'wife' and 'husband' , replacing 'spouse' with 'partner'.

These two rounds of changes didn't make it out of committee, but the changes were published.
