Good morning.

I got my NOA2 on April 25. Waiting on a embassy number. Ghangzhou embassy website has these instructions about how they schedule your interview. According to the priority date. The priority date on the NOA2. Which isn't on mine. They emailed And said they have no record of my app existing.

I called USCIS. USCIS sent the app off to NVC. End of their story.

I called NVC. NVC only checks dates once a month. And as there's no priority date on my NVC. I was worried. NVC says the priority date is the same as the notice date. And everyone needs to wait until they check the dates once a month. When ever that is. Then if the embassies have room for interviews. And the embassy available date is after your priority date. They send the app off to the embassy. Embassy gives you the embassy number when it arrives.

According to NVC. Pretty much the wait time for any action is up to 30 days after NOA2. But it could be 1 day if you get lucky. And they checked the apps. One day after it arrived. And possibly 45 days to get an embassy number. Even with nothing wrong. 30 days NVC time, plus 15 days time to mail it to them. Now if the embassy is booked up. NVC sits on your app until they check it again. In another 30 days. They do apps once a month. ! I suspose its possible to have less then a week if both wait times line up exactly. NVC and embassy are not busy.

Frickin typical government inefficient BS.

is quite possible that even after NVC assigns the GUZ casefile #, it'll be a few months before the casefile is even opened at GUZ IV.

There's a lot of good stuff at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/401194-k1-visa-p3-shortcut/?view=findpost&p=5838346

just discount the GUZ P3 shortcut.
