At the app support center they ask her where was the original, she replied custom keep it and they told her that was weird. The lady seem not to care much about it she mention something in the line don't worry you get the new card with in a couple of weeks.

Maybe the copy is enough proof of her status is good for another year. They don't say anything like you need to have the original.

I guess if she carry the copy along with the letter for her biometric that should be good enough or not?

If you want to try and use the copy NOA1 that's fine. Personally I was never asked asked for proof of status but I will tell you it will not be "a couple of weeks". It takes 5-7+ months to get the 10 year GC.

The biometrics letter is totally useless for proof of status. The NOA1 says "status extended for one year" but it works TOGETHER with the GC... if she doesn't have the GC then the letter is useless (it doesn't have her photo). The GC stamp on the other hand is better.

honestly though it's up to you guys. Like I said, I was never asked for proof of status. I put the NOA1 in my immigration folder and left it there.

I was more worried about not having the Original NOA1 at all. But it seem that the copy would be enough to have along with the GC in case someone ask.

You see everyone say something they don't even know how long it takes as she was told couple of weeks wow all this workers need to take a refresher course or something similar.

I still have to post the letter I send with my packet I will have to log using the computer to do that.
