I have a question regarding military records for the k1 interview.

I have never been in the military, but my US fiance was in the marines. Does this mean i need him to send me his records or is this question just aimed at myself? In that case i wouldn't need anything.

Any answers appreciated.

Thanks

No. All the documentation (birth certificate, name changes, police records, military service, divorces, etc) are about the British applicant getting the visa. Exception is the documentation of income from the USC.

I would have a copy of his discharge papers, this is one more thing to show you know him well.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I wouldn't bother since her interview is in London. The London list of documents for the interview lists "military records". They want to see the Brit's records only, if any.

Thank you! :)

I am almost set. I am photocopying all the documents that I need to bring and I just need to get my passport photo's on Friday, ready for the interview. I am lucky that I have managed to find a photographer who does the American dimensions (2x2).

US 2x2 are also available at Snappy Snaps, Photo-Me booths, Jessops, Gould's Pharmacy (by the embassy), and near the Bond St Tube station (Oxford St) which is closest Tube to the medical exam.

In the future, try taking your own and size them using this uploader tool from the Dept of State. Scroll halfway down the page. http://travel.state.gov/passport/pptphotoreq/pptphotoreq_5333.html Save the jpg file and print at home or at a photo place that does prints. It comes out like a 4x6 photo that has two 2x2 photo squares in the middle.

We've done DIY and print at home for London, the six for AOS, his natuaralization certificate, and both of our US passport applications. That's fourteen photos we didn't have to pay for. And you get to keep trying 'til you get a cute picture. :)
