Process once in the US

Hey all,

Just wondering what the process is once you activate VIsa in the US. Do I need to apply for SSN? Green Card? where and what to do

Once in the US, go to the SSA office and apply for a SSN, the green card will arrive in the mail

Don't forget to remove conditions after 2 years if you have a Cr-1 visa

After you arrived here in States if your CR1 and you check the paper saying you automatically receive your SSN then just wait it would arrive week or weeks but if it reach a month then better go to your SSN office and get SSn just need your PP and GC just wait it would arrived a month or 2,mine got it 1 month and few days.If your K1 or Fiance Visa i think you better get married first before ur visa expires,i think its 90 days u better get married .

Just make sure you pay the new immigrant fee asap so that you receive the green card in a timely manner. They won't produce it until that fee is paid.
