Hi,

My GC expires on July 28, is it ok to send our I-751 package on May 19-20? We're waiting for IRS tax transcripts and it takes around 2 weeks to get them.

Yes. Anytime within the 90 days prior to your GC expiring. Good luck with your filing! smile.png

Hi,

I filed 30 days before GC expiry but I started to stress out when I never received my NOA-1 & Biometrics letters due to mail delivery issues... So I had to go and get a passport stamp and then request a new biometrics appointment.

From experience, the earlier the better :) but 60 days sounds good if you need to wait for more evidence.

Final Stretch to become a USC:

11-20-2013: Eligibility Date

08-21-2014: Application Sent

08-23-2014: Application Received

08-25-2014: Priority Date

08-28-2014: Check/Money Order Cashed

09-05-2014: Biometrics Letter Sent Date

09-16-2014: Biometrics Walk-in Date

09-25-2014: Biometrics Scheduled Date

09-19-2014: In-line for Interview

01-16-2015: Email/Text saying Interview was Scheduled

02-23-2015: Interview Date

03-03-2015: Email/Text saying In-line for Oath

06-12-2015: Oath Ceremony (Court)

I'm a USC!

Thank you! I know it's best to send it as soon as possible and I wanted to send it earlier but we changed the deed to the house and didn't know you have to wait 6-7 weeks! oops8rh.gif Now we received the deed and asked for tax return transcripts from IRS. Turns out you have to wait for those too
