Hi,

I filed my I-751 requesting a waiver of the joint-filing requirement due to divorce in April. I've received my NOA, and biometrics appointment (scheduled for the end of May in Atlanta).

The lease on my home is up in August, and I'm considering relocating to a different city. I'm clueless about whether this will impact the processing time of my application.

1. Does anybody know if moving while my application is being processed will impact the timeline?

2. Also, would it make a difference if I stayed on the east coast vs moving to the west coast? (I'm thinking about my application currently being in the Vermont center here)

Any help would be great appreciated. Thanks.

Something similar happened to me. I filed a change of address with USCIS. They were pretty good at updating that on their system. They also sent me a letter officially notifying me that a change of address had been filed

Also, filling a change of address with the post office will ensure mail is forwarded to your new address.

But as far as affecting your processing time, I really do not think that makes a difference (unless ofcourse you do not receive and respond to the USCIS), people move all the time
