Hi friends,

So Im ready for my B2 interview this week. I have proof of school attendance, parents' bank statements, reservations, Itinerary ...

My question is that the invitation letter is sent to me by my fiancé's mother since I will be staying with her at her place while the fiancé lives 5 hours by car with a lot of roommates (no room for me). Will the officer ask about why is she the one sending the letter not him? Its basically her because I will be staying with her. Since she is the one inviting me (not sponsoring me), should I bring a copy of her passport & copy of his? or the letter with her contact info is enough?

My parents are sponsoring me but I also have some cash at home. YES at home. I gained that cash from freelance teaching. Should I just mention the amount I have without any bank documents? Its really not much to open a bank account for (1000$).

During my trip I will also meet another friend. Should I write down a list of people I'm meeting or that is too awkward lol?

Should I translate all documents into english? If yes, then can I translate them myself? I have originals of all copies and so far I only translated my school related papers.

Should I include a copy of my previous trip to europe with the documents? I'm sure they'll see that in my passport but just in case they skip that page..

I have seen people writing about including family pictures (to show ties). IS that true? I aint photogenic lol but if I need to do that then I will do it.

Too many questions so little time. I would be grateful if you answer my questions. Thank you so much

Be prepared to asnwer any questions the CO asks of you and don't be nervous. The funds you have at home will not help you unless you can provide evidence of their existence through a bank statement. Cash at home does not count for visa purposes. You can mention it if you wish.

The CO will be looking for ties to your home country so any documentation to that effect is what you need to have handy and present if asked. These include car registration, rent, bank statements, job, etc.

Good luck!
