My NOA 1 for the EAD is Aug. 22, USCIS just updated the list saying they are processing Aug. 29. I still have not received any word, no touches nothing. I did however receive a RFE for my AOS back in Sept. I sent it back. It was info I already submitted. Should I make a infopass ? What should I do ? I need to work soon ........ I'm going crazy just waiting.

Karen, you can't do anything until your 90 days are up, then you can make an info pass. Not sure if that will do you any good since the local offices are not giving out EAD's anymore. However some people on here have said that the info pass officer could send a message to the service center to inquire about the status of your EAD.

Processing dates are guidelines. You're not 90 days from your NOA1 yet, and also the RFE can hold up the EAD processing sometimes. I'm sure you'll get it soon!

While you're technically supposed to wait 90 days AFTER they received your RFE, I'd still make an Infopass. I also received an RFE and sent it back in September. I still made an infopass after my 90 days were up from the original NOA date. At first they gave me a hard time because I was supposed to wait until 90 days after they received my RFE (which would have been Dec 10 or so), but they took pity on me and made a call to the MSC. A week later my EAD was approved.

They might not do anything for you, but it definitely doesn't hurt to still go in.

Oh yeah, and mention that the RFE was for stuff you already sent in. The same thing happened to me (tax stuff I had already included with the original app) and I told the officer this and she thankfully believed it (apparently it happens a lot with I-864 stuff) and I think that helped me in getting my EAD.

I agree..make an infopass for after the first week of december of last week of november as then your 90 days will be up. the local office can supposedly call the national center when you are there and hopefully you'll be given the interim EAD. Best of luck and hang in there. I am sure it will work out.
