Hello fellow vj's! Can someone enlighten me please? I had my interview on April 29th and heard the magic word, congratulations, your visa is approved, welcome to America! I checked my status on CEAC website april 29 monday night and it showed visa was issued and should be received on 7-10 working days, that's the status that shows ever since up until yesterday then today when i woke up i checked it again and i was so devastated, shocked, and worried that it was changed from status issued to under Administrative processing.. does anyone experienced this kind of scenario? I was so devastated and my fiance since I closed my bank account,we bought my wedding dress, bought almost everything that we need for the baby since we saw that visa issued status,, we were left hanging and wondering what went wrong with the application. I am under k1 visa and we have an 11 month old baby girl What triggers to have an AP? How long will it last...and is their a possiblity of denial or approval eventually? Help please....We are so stressed with this outcome..

Hi katt, can you call them and inquire about it?

yes we will call them up today..i thought everything goes out well but this is what happens so devastating and unexpected..

Aw thank you so much I hope its just a system glitch on ceac nevertheless it keeps us so worrisome and stressed thinking what could have gone wrong..

While I dont have any expierence with your issue, it could be something as simple as mailing out your visa to you. Hopefully you and your family get good news in your email soon. Best of luck to you! smile.png

I do hope you're right...I was even more stressed when i received texts from people i met on the interview that they got their visa and i was left hanging and i dont know what went wrong..

called up USEM they say my visa is still there and on process..if we were no being requested for any document we just have to wait for text from the courier or 2go that visa is ready for pick up...i feel relieved.....they say ceac is always updated but have no tool to check what's the reason for AP could be that they are just preparing our visa packet,,,50% relieved 50% nervous..have to stay positive to yield positive outcome...

Hi sorry to hear that you are in the same situation as me. I had my k1 visa interview in London on March 13th I was told approved and that I would have my passport back within 7-10 days. About 10 days later I was informed I have been put into additional administrative processing and its 8 weeks today since my interview.

I also bought wedding clothes, booked venues and vendors. I understand how stressful this is and I hope yours is resolved a lot quicker than mine is

I just went though some stress about the same thing this morning! We had our interview on Thursday at the USEM, were advised that everything is great and "Your visa is APPROVED" and this morning we checked the CEAC Website and it said,

"Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved after administrative processing, your passport will be delivered by our contracted courier to the address you specified when you booked your interview."

Now after reading your above experience, I certainly hope and pray we get the same update you received stating that your visa is going through "final processing".

Thanks for the thread!

Rgds,

Sahs
