We don't have the interview yer but we're close, our first child was just born and I don't want to expose our baby to nasty airports just yet plus it is such a long trip from Seattle to DR

We have been married for 1.5 years and now we have a baby, baby that he hasn't even meet yet :(

What do people think?? Any advice

You dont need to expose your little baby with the airport hustle and other defects, all u need to do is to make sure your papers are okay, let your husband prepare very well, he should know everything about you and your family and he should appear at the interview with relevant and required documents and then he should back it up with prayers, once he has done this other things shall go well.

even if u go to the interview they might not allow you in. even if go and he didnt answer correctly the questions that he will be asked then it still make no meaning. so keep your little baby with you and then just pray for you hubby. all will be well.

Best of luck

If you dont go more than likely they will give you an open interview date so that you can appear. The DR is a must go or you could run the risk of delay or denial. I have only seen on here 1 person that went to interview without their spouse and was approved. However they had a B2 visa already and if I am not mistaken their kids were either born in the US or had US passports and had been married for several years, USC was the husband by the way. So I wouldn't chance it. But you can contact the Embassy and see what they say.

Best of luck to you and congrats on the new baby!

This information is not correct for the DR.

Also our daughter was 2 months old right after her first shots and she slept through the entire trip. She is 17months now and is still a trooper on the flights.

It is HIGHLY sugguested for the Dominican consulate that the USC attends the interview, otherwise they will schedule an open interview and have you attend at a later date when you are available.

Now it has been seen in some cases where the intend immigrate goes oh his/her own to the interview and the office may/may not interview them without the USC, but it has been don't it's a 50/50 chance depending on the officer. AGAIN it is advisiable to attend the intervie.
