I can't comment on MENA countries, but for my petition, the only thing I sent was phone records... that's the only way we communicate. It was approved without any RFE. I don't think you have to show ongoing relationship until the interview, though.

For the interview, I sent a lot of proof.

1. A letter stating that I still wanted to marry her.

2. A letter from my mother stating that she can't wait to accept my fiancee into the family.

3. Letters from two different coworkers stating that they are aware of the relationship.

4. Letters I sent my fiancee's kids for their birthdays.

5. Phone records, highlighting birthdays and holidays.

6. Proof that I speak her language (she does not speak English)

7. A detailed relationship timeline.

Her interview was very short and easy, I think because the evidence was good. In Mongolia, it is possible to submit the evidence the week prior to the actual interview, which is a really good way to do it. Perhaps it's best to front-load your petition as much as possible, though.

There really is nothing you will be able to do to speed up the process.

Algeria is a high fraud country, so AP should be expected.

There will be no definitive time frame

Congressman, White house, etc.. will not go anywhere

There are a whole set of background checks that are taking place and must be completed before the case gets out of AP
