We finally got the NOA2 (K1). We are over the top excited. She still needs to get the Buena Conduct document certified in Caracas (she cannot get a Police report, because she does not have a Cedula, staying in Venezuela under visa).

Can somebody tell me about the document process in Caracas? Is it that: 1) You go to the Ministry of Interior and Justice, what's the process there, how long will it take there;

And then: 2) that you go to Ministry of Relationships and External Affairs? What's the process there, how long will it take there. As a foreigner I’m still confused and nervous, do not know if they will certify my Buena Conducta using passport I really appreciate your help.

This is a tough question to answer since you're not a venezuelan citizen I dont know what things apply and not apply to you.

You need to personally go to both places and ask for information about the documents she'll need to bring in order to get her Antecedentes penales since she isn't a venezuelan citizen.

I went to the Ministry of Interior and Justice, I brought with me a copy of my cedula and then they made me fill out a form and then I waited in line for 10 minutes. They received all my documents and then after 3 days I got my Antecedentes penales.

After I got my "Antecedentes penales" I took my birth certificate and my Antecedentes penales to the Ministry of Relationships and External Affairs, here is where it gets tricky because you can't just show up there and try to get your documents validated (Apostille) Depending on what your cedula last digits are, you are assigned to come do your paperwork on an specific day.. like my cedula ends in "5" and the only day I could come to the Ministry of Relationships and External Affairs was Wednesday. So once again you have to go there and ask what day you can go get your documentation sorted out! you usually have to wait in line for about 10 to 20 minutes and then they will give your documents back the next day after 2 pm. Make sure to bring some money with you because it costs about 150Bsf or so. The price has probably gone up since I did mine back in 2010.

I'm sorry I'm not much help, but like I said its hard because since she's not a venezuelan citizen I'm not sure what applies to her. My advice is go to both places or call and make sure you have everything you need before going there.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me! good luck
