So I am looking for some clarification please. My husband entered as a K1 Fiance visa I have submitted his papers for AOS I-485 etc.

my question is what is his status after 3 month visa expires from the day of entry. do i need to file any other paper work for his visa to remain active until he receives his work authorization ?

His K-1 visa expired the moment he entered the US at his POE. What is the expiration date on his I-94? When did you send in the AOS applications? Have your received any NOA1s for the "AOS I-485 etc"? :time:

He is OK, in a "AOS being adjudicated" status. This is an often discussed topic in the 'AOS from Family based visas' forum. Review some recent threads for more information.

Your immigration journey has progressed from K-1 to AOS.

Good luck.

Once AOS has been filed, he is in a new period of authorized stay. The status is kind of a limbo one at the moment until he is approved for the green card and becomes a permanent resident. Right now he is legal in the US because of the pending AOS. The NOA receipt notice from filing AOS can be used to show status if you ever find yourself in need of proof for any reason.

I just sent in his AOS and his I-94 expires on the 19th of may.

Yes, the I-94 is going to expire. Filing for AOS put him in a new authorized period of stay. There is nothing else you need to do now but enjoy your marriage while you wait for the EAD/AP and green card approvals.
