So we had an interview last week for an AOS for F2A. After the interview the IO said everything looks good and my wife should get the green card in 3 to 4 weeks. She went ahead and also mentioned that my wife will be getting a 10 year green card (already married for 2.5 years) and should she decide to become a citizen she can do so in 3 years after getting the green card. She asked if I had any more questions. I asked her "does that mean we're approved?" She then replied you have not been approved and she still has to review some more stuffs but said " you should get the green card in 3 to 4 weeks." I'm all confused here. Why would she say she has not been approved but should get the green card in 3 to 4 weeks.

Update: 20 mins after the interview the IO called to say that my wife can apply for citizenship 3 years after I become a USC not 3 years after she gets her GC.

Should I expect a GC in the mail ?

Thanks !

Because the IO does not have final say, they can only recommend the approval.
