Ted Cruz's dad fought on the same side as Fidel Castro. Yes, really.

They haven't figured out how to make HFCS yet. Or maybe they just don't have any corn there.

Our policy of not trading with Cuba and getting their low-priced cane sugar has helped create the reasons for use of that nasty HFCS in our soft drinks and other products. So maybe we have helped Castro achieve some of his objectives in harming Americans! It is time to normalize relations with them. They do not pose any threat to us now and the best way to help lead them out of communism is to engage with them, especially with some good, capitalistic free trade!

Back to the topic about the RWN's crush on Cruz. If they could get all the mileage they have about Obama supposedly being Muslim, Kenyan, Socialist, whatever because of the birthplace of his father, how much more mileage should be able to be derived from the fact that Cruz's father was fighting on the same side as Castro!

The fact that neither were really relevant to anything is beside the point. The reason RWN's have little fear of this factoid is that they know that the left tends not to use these slimy techniques to the widespread extent that the tea-party types do. Liberals care more about truth and justice than fear-mongering and guilt by association. Not that some on the left might not try to use this but if they do it won't get much traction. But imagine the brouhaha if things were turned around and Obama's father had fought on the same side as someone like Castro!!!wow.gif

Consumption of Coca Cola is no evidence of consumption of HFCS. In many places outside of the US, Coca Cola is made with actual sugar.

I know... I just thought it was a fun time to point out Mr. Castro's love of Coca Cola.

Now, the question is, which kind of coke tastes better?

What would Xenu do?

Actually, the Mexican coke tastes better. You can find some today in your local Hispanic market. Sure, it costs more, but that's the price one pays for illegal import into the USA.

It really does taste better.
