Hi visa journey people!! :) good day! My fiance and I have our case number already, he called NVC last Friday. I tried calling the embassy for it, but they said that it is not sent to them yet. My question is, how long does it take for the manila embassy to get the case number? And when they have it, can i already pay for the visa interview fee and medical? What is the process?

as soon as you have a mnl # you can pay visa fee ...just print the deposit slip off the web site and go to bank and pay it ...once you pay the fee you can go on line to embassy web site and choose your interview date ...after that go do your medical exam i would do the medical exam 8 to 10 days before interview date ...you can pre register on st lukes web site for your medical exam ...vj has all the sites and information on what to do ..or ask other members ....good luck ...

It takes a week or so for your visa package to make it to Manila. It could be a bit longer, but you don't have to wait to start processing in the Philippines. The MNL case number is all you need. Get all your papers together, have your fiancée send everything he needs to send, setup your interview, register for your medical, etc. GO GO GO.

We received the MNL case number for my fiancée a week ago, on a Friday. Monday she paid the visa fee, her Monday night we made the interview appointment, this week she will do the medical, next week the interview. I've already sent and she's received the I-134 and my divorce decrees and other things for the interview (I sent after the NOA2, before the MNL was available). She will have her interview 26 days after NOA2, 18 days after the MNL case number was received.

Again, it takes about a week for your case to make it to Manila, I'm giving it 2 1/2 weeks prior to the interview. But everything else needs to happen in between. You don't need to wait for Manila to receive it before processing. Your timeline is now totally in your hands.

Good luck!

Hi! I am very thankful that i posted this, helped a lot... I came from the bank today. Just go to BPi and pay, just make sure that you have a US Visa Fee deposit slip, which you can download from ustraveldocs.com/ph. It'll give you instructions from then on. Also, try to pay in the morning coz it will be 4 hours after paying before you can set up an interview appointment. If you do it around 3pm, your payment will be carried over the next day, and can make the appointment in the afternoon of the next day. Anyway, it's an easy process.:) tonight, i will set up the apoointment for interview.:) and will do the medical next week.:) hoping that by May 27th, everything wil be A-okay!!! Good luck!!

Look at the instructions on the St. Luke's website. http://www.slec.ph/#

Basically it's copies of your interview letter (that you print after setting up your interview online), passport photos, passport (and photocopy of the info page), petitioner's info including address and phone number (if you don't have it memorized, have it written down with you). Check the website and make sure you're prepared. Also, it's not required, my fiancée didn't take it, but if you have prior immunization records it can be helpful to take that.

Good luck!

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves consular functions. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
