This is an interesting question. She will be living in my home, eating my food. So I guess the correct answer is "intend" but wouldn't that be a given? If we plan to get married, she would be in my house. How could you answer no? A person coming into the country would need a period of time to get settled an start a job before they could support themselves.

What is the collective wisdom on how to handle question 11?

You answer yes to question 11. Keep in mind the I-134 is used for other types of visas besides fiancee visas, so the answer might be different in those cases.

You can follow the example form here on VJ and not check either box and use N/A or check 'intend' and put something like "K-1 visa process for permanent residence ( provide all expenses as necessary )" on the line.
