A short answer to your question of course there is a chance it will speed up. There is another post somewhat similar to yours that is a couple minutes older, you may want to read it for more input. As to waiting another year, I see your timeline is not filled in. Could you please complete it it is helpful to all the members on this site to have that info and it helps people give you input of yur questions here. A year? Sure it's possible but I wouldn't be so down in the dumps about it, I sure hope my fiance is here before we reach awhile year from filing-10 months on the ther hand maybe even 11 from filing sure that's possible and it is what I am anticipating myself. Anyway hopefully you have found something encouraging here.

Could you please fill in your timeline to assist the whole VJ family with being an active participant for statistic purposes. The more that are active and keep it up to date assist in a more accurate projection of dates completed.

Not know when your petition was accepted, will say that the service center speed up and slow down in cycles. You just never know when it will happen.

I don't have a timeline other than what's in my signature because I haven't even submitted my petition yet. Going through a complex divorce which hopefully will be finalized at last this month, so I can file my petition next month. But I've already waited since 2011 to get my fiance here, everything is always pushed back and delayed and seeing how long the processing times are now is kind of crushing. (Especially since he just visited me and left today...I came to this site hoping for good news.)

Thanks everyone. It's just torture being in a constant waiting game and having him visit and be torn away over and over again. : ( Something everyone on this site can understand.

Exactly we can ALL relate to that! I just saw my fiance back in January & I cried so hard in the airport as I was leaving that everyone kept asking if I was ok! My fiance wasn't allowed into the airport so after I hugged & kissed him goodbye we found a place I could stick my hand through to hold his! Absolutely heart wrenching! And I've had to leave him back in India like that 3 times! It NEVER gets any easier! We've been in a relationship for nine years & have spent most of it away from each other! :( I haven't filed yet either so the thought of having to wait anymore kills us but we will just stick it out like we always do! Stay strong & upbeat, it helps trust me!

: ( It really is awful, isn't it! Both me and my fiance cry endlessly every time he leaves, and now (in the immediate aftermath of him going home) always feel so depressed. Even worse is that I'm stuck in this divorce process and can't file till I'm free...and my ex is deliberately messing things up so as to keep me and my fiance apart. : ( If he appeals, as he is threatening to do, it could be two more years till I'm divorced!!! I've only been in this relationship 2 years and THAT seems like a lifetime, I can't imagine how awful being apart for NINE years would be! You both must have amazing patience! I hope you can begin the process soon.

lol I wish it was patience I had.. no its just that I love him so much there is NOBODY else for me. So we stick it out no matter what comes our way. I bet you feel the same way! That's what gets you through the impossible! We've already gone though one tourist visa denial which devastated us both. Also I've heard that its not going to be easy for us to get an approval when it comes to this fiance visa. I've heard a few people on here who either are from India or their fiance is and they got denied. Its not common for interracial couples to be genuine in India, so they think fraud! I'm sweating bullets and haven't been sleeping and barely eating.. and I haven't even filed the petition yet. Worse comes to worse I'm leaving the USA marrying him in India and moving to Dubai with him... we have a plan! lol :) I hope everything gets resolved for you with your ex. I think its absolutely terrible when people act so heartless and can't just part ways peacefully. Its terrible that he is trying to keep you two apart! I hope and pray for your sake that the divorce is finalized asap!! Good luck and you can message me anytime if you need to talk! :) take care

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves pace of processing. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
