Hello,

I noticed that VSC is far ahead of CSC in the last few weeks. Oct and Nov 12 is almost 50% completed in VSC but CSC is barely progressing. I am happy for the VSC filers that got their done fast, but I am a CSC filer and I am confused why CSC is taking lot longer now. Does anyone have any idea? Anil

A couple of things that have been said

1) there is now a bit of a backlog at the Nvc because of the overwhelming number of approvals csc recently had, perhaps they are trying to throttle petitions so Nvc can catch up

2) because of the prior extreme slowdown at csc many new adjucators were hired, they are still going through training

3) as to your point about VSC begin way ahead it is about even at this pont really, csc does not have as many July or August petitions done but they have way more November and December ones completed

4) VSC did slow compare to a couple months ago, they have only recently in the last week or so sped up a bit more, maybe the slowdown at csc is just a very minor slowdown, it might speed back up to more normal and regular processing rates in a bit

5) although it's been said a bunch of times before VJ does represent a small fraction <10% of all the petitions at the processing centers

The biggest thing everyone can agree on is waiting blows!!!

Your a k1 filer..we are talking about ROC which is why this was originally posted in the ROC forums.

they are doing December ROC even now. but only 3 October filers at CSC for ROC have been done.

Again this pertains to ROC, not any other petition.

And this is where we get our info from thanks to Marty for doing these awesome charts:

No, a K-1 filer, jenni17, assunmed you also are a K-1 filer and wrote that info about the number of petitions. For I-751s, CSC hasn't changed the date in the processing times either. Also another rumor to add to Kastrs' list is what I saw posted in the K-1 section about a month ago, when the pipes burst in the CSC about 48,000 case files were ruined. Who knows?

Good luck all.

ROC is basically a 7/8 month wait and then done, no information inbetween unless you need an interview or an RFE.

In Arizona its hot hot hot.

I suspect that the slowdown of many visa categories is a result of the ongoing DACA-tsunami that has swamped USCIS. Since program inception through mid-March 2013 there has been close to 500,000 DACA applications inundating USCIS service centers, with resultant shifting of workloads, it is amazing that anything else is being adjudicated.wow.gif

YMMV
