N-400 Request for Name Change-What needs to be done prior to interview/oath ceremony?

On my N-400 naturialization form, I indicated that I would like to have my name changed. I spoke to a manager while at my biometrics on 4/23/13 and asked him if there was anything I needed to do prior to the oath ceremony (hopefully after a successful interview) and he did not know.

So my question is this: Currently all of my government ID's and documentation have my last name as my husband's last name hyphenated with my maiden name. What I would like to do is to drop my maiden name and just carry my husband's last name. Do I need to do anything prior to attending the oath ceremony? Or will the change be taken care of then?

Thank you,

Timon&Pumba

Tell them at your interview. They will ask you how you want your name to appear on the certificate and you will give your signature using that name (your new name). So practice your signature and don't forget to tell them, that's all. And at the ceremony, double check that it's all right. If not, ask them to fix it while you are there. If you leave with an incorrect certificate, it can cost you money and time to fix it later on.

This answer is all you need to follow....My wife did same after her interview on the 17th of April, had same day oath at Baltimore and name change was done before certificate was issued. They will particularly ask you once the officer knows you are married.
