Hi,

I've received a letter from USICS stating that they deny my application I-485 because of lack of supporting documentation. My wife and I went to interview and everything was fine. However, the field officer asked me if I had ever been arrested for theft, to which, I said no. She, then shows me a document that states that I had been arrested for theft with my fingerprint, but was not in my name. In other word, fingerprint shows that arrested record for Louis Ellis Iverson, but with my fingerprint. I should tell you I was arrested on the same day for domestic violence, which was later dismissed.

I didn't even know that exist until the interview. Long story short, after the interview I called the police department where the arrest was made and they had told me they made a mistake and the record was corrected and expunged. However, they denied my request for certified document to prove it was not me.

I sent in a response letter to USICS and was returned with a denial letter.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get a court certified document or court miniute other than from the responsible agency?

You need to contact the Superior Court within that jurisdiction. You want a docket not a minute order. With a minute order you need the specific date/time from the court hearing. A docket lists everything.
