Sorry if this may seems off the topic but wasnot sure where to post it !!!

The general question is : When US citizen enters US - DO they put entry stamp with date at airport in USA in his/her US passport?

Thanks in advance.....

It is no longer a requirement for the USC's passport to be stamped upon re-entry - hasn't been for quite some time. Some POEs still do it routinely, others do it only if you ask. So if you are missing some, it's normal.

Sometimes... it depends on the policy of the POE, but generally USC's do not get their passports stamped upon reentry into the US.

Since everything is now computerized all of the information on reentry is in a centralized database. I would imagine that most regions that have the electronic passport requirement will soon stop giving out stamps in the next several years. It just isn't necessary.

Actually no crux here.....We were thinking of getting cosponsor and was thinking that there may be problem with his long term travel outside us and proving his domicile if question comes......so was thinking abt this stamp stuf...anyway, the issue is gone since there is no need for cosponor any more...so I said its moot issue now....
