How this people come up their method to predict as far as they could? :-/ well. Its only a prediction after all. Still hoping

At this point they are not real predictions, just wishes and guesses. The predictions will start at the end of the month/beginning of next month when VJ members start receiving their interview dates and we can try to predict on that basis how far the cut-off date will go.

It's certainly going to be an exciting month, anything is possible - both backward and forward movement.

My F2A/IR-1 journey:

USCIS:
4 August 2011: I-130 sent (while husband permanent resident)
8 August 2011: Priority date
16 April 2013: NOA2

NVC:

7 May 2013: Case number received, DS-3032 sent

15 May 2013: AOS bill received and paid

16 May 2013: AOS package sent

17 May 2013: DS-3032 accepted

20 May 2013: IV bill received and paid

21 May 2013: IV package sent

11 June 2013: response to IV checklist sent

13 June 2013: Case upgraded to CR1

2 July 2013: Case completed

28 August 2013: Interview - approved!

21 September 2013: POE

18 November 2013: Green card received

My husband's citizenship journey:

8 February 2013: N-400 sent
4 March 2013: Biometrics
24 April 2013: Interview
12 June 2013: Oath ceremony

Ok, but for me, i fully expect for least forward movement or i mean back to normal, month by month. But base on ur assumption posible backward. How sure are you that there is possible about to happen? Any idea, clue or sumthing like that? Urrg. This gives me hearth breaking, nerve cracking.. D: we totally exctd for the next month. Yet u give evryone doubting. Hmm sorry for this. Ur answer is highly apprctd. Thanks.

OP's posting is just her opinion. Based from the current movement, it jumped from weeks to months because there are only few who are documentarily qualified for a visa number. Many are current but still not case complete yet. And with the recent approvals and case completion of these applicants, for the upcoming months, we could possibly see retrogression (i hope will not happen) to accommodate them and assign a visa number for them.

How sure are you that there is possible about to happen? Any idea, clue or sumthing like that?

I don't have any hard data either, but I've seen it happen before: USCIS falls behind in approvals, the Visa Office's list of documentarily qualified applicants gets shorter, and they start moving the cut-off dates faster. At that point USCIS wakes up, starts approving cases, and once those applicants complete their cases and are eligible for a visa number, the cut-off dates go backward to accommodate the new demand.

Fortunately the situation this year is nowhere as bad as it was in 2010-2011. Even if we see some backward movement, it will be a couple of months at most, not years, and the cut-off dates will recover quickly. There might even be further fast movement coming up later this year if the CSC doesn't continue approving F2A cases soon. I therefore wouldn't worry too much, but I want everyone here to be realistic with their expectations and to be prepared for both continuing fast movement and retrogression. I for one am doing everything I can to get my case completed this month, just in case there is no retro and the cut-off dates actually do hit 15 August or later.

Thanks ljmp :)

I would expect the dates to move another 2 -3 months. It's not only the minimum number of qualified applicants, there are factors like low F2A demand and also begining of last quarter.

07/30/2013 - I-130 NOA2

08/08/2013 - Checks cashed
08/10/2013 - Received 3 NOA's by mail (I-485, I-131, I-765)
08/14/2013 - NOA for Biometrics appointement. Date set for 08/29/2013

08/20/2013 - Succesful walk-in Biometrics
08/30/2013 - I-485 status online changed to "testing & interview"

10/02/2013 - EAD Card Procudtion, 1-131 still intial review. Got status update on 1-131, something about address change, which we didn't
10/03/2013 - Post Decision Activity for I-131

12/25/2013 - Recieved Interview scheduled text message

01/27/2014 - Attended interview
