Ok so I am the mommy of a beautiful baby girl. (she is 2) Her daddy went to mexico when i was 7 months pregnant to take care of some certificates he needed processed. He had never had issues with re admission. but he over stayed his i-94. so on July 4,2010 he was given the option to sign the voluntarily departure (not thinking he did) Now he has a 5 year bar, we are filing the I-130 but i have a problem. after he left i lost all my support he was my everything not to mention he was my financial stability (his family let us stay there and took care of us he did odd jobs for ppl ) after he left i had to leave his brothers place and i was forced to go on Temporary Assistance For Needy Families. Being 7 months Pregnant I couldn't find a Job and not to mention child care. So I am STILL on assistance and looking for work. the thing is that i obviously cant count my income! and My mom is disabled so we cant count her income and i have nobody else to ask. But i need hubby here is there any Ideas out there to get him a sponsor PLEASE help me

All I or anyone else on this forum can tell you is that you have to make any effort you can think of to find someone who would be willing to act as a joint sponsor or wait until your financial situation improves to the point that you are able qualify on your own.

July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

I advise you to see if your husband can support you in Mexico for the next few years while you get things sorted. I'm sorry for your predicament and I hope things begin to look up for you very soon.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Just wanted to add that your joint sponsor can be anyone as long as they are a US Citizen or an LPR (in case you didn't already know this), so no need to limit your possibilities to just family or USCs.

Hope you find a way to be together soon, be it in Mexico or the US!

10/19/11: Interview (APPROVED!!!)

12/12/11: 2- year Green Card arrives in the mail

12/22/11: Applied for SSN at local office

12/26/11: SSN arrives in the mail

You have a few options:

- Cast your net wider for a co-sponsor: old school friends, neighbours, church family etc

- Go and live with him in Mexico until you can save up enough or a co-sponsor comes up

- Find a job to support a family of three according to the poverty limits. Childcare is expensive, but maybe your mom could look after your daughter or if your husband doesn;t work in Mexico, you could send your child to him?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Well My daughter can not live in mexico due to a health condition and as for him Helping me while in mexico he makes only 400 a month and he has rent and school fees so hes a broke as i am he can get a great job once we get him here.

Then it sounds like you have a very good case to present to other friends, church people, work colleagues, or whoever else you can find to be a co-sponsor. Sorry we can't help sponsor your husband.

My child has to stay in the States. She has a medical condition that prevents her from living in areas like mexico Arizona ect. (dusty and humid)

Yes, you mentioned that. Good luck finding a sponsor in the States then.

his family is in the USA - so if any one of them is a LPR or a USCitizen, then they can be a co-sponser for him.

Ask around, about 'status', with the family who's house you moved out of.

His Brother is currently Filing for his LPR here in Oregon. they Just squeese past the guidelines for there Family of 4.
