My I-130 applications were sent in March. My date for NOA1 is March 19 it is now 5/4/13. I am trying to find out if the application have been sent to my field office. I have not called but instead did a Infopass to the field office. My appointment is May 17. I wanted to see if this has help other people application move faster. If you did a Infopass at your field office how long did it take to get your NOA2. Thanks

You're seriously jumping on an Infopass for a March NOA1? dry.png Infopass appointments are for when you think something is wrong., What do you think is so wrong with your application that you need to take time away from the people working on approving petitions?

Speedwell did you do a infopass at anytime in your process? It look like your process is one of the exception that was within the normal time. How do you know this take time away from processing? When I asked for the infopass the only day available was close to two weeks away. It look like there are a lot of people using this and my appointment is only for 20 minutes max. If they had better information on the internet then this would not be necessary. Each person here has to follow there own path to success.

Normal processing is the norm, not the exception. it takes time away from processing because it requires the time of local people who would otherwise be processing applications. You have no reason to believe that anything is wrong with your petition and you said yourself that slots are full and you couldn't get one for two weeks. Who the blazes do you think you are to take that appointment away from someone who may really need it? I figured you were an immature worrywart as soon as you started screaming for special treatment before your petition was two months old. Don't presume to preach to this forum; there are people here who have waited and been waiting up to ten times as long as you.

The first infopass I did was useful,

as the casefile was assigned to an adjudicator same day.

Of course, I went in to fuss about the expedite and USCIS's ignoring of the expedite request.

Timeticks in my profile.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Speedwell I not going to make this into a name calling session. This form is to exchange information not to judge people methods. If this work to help my applications then it will help everyone. They will have another tool to use. I hope the rest of your process goes well as I would for anyone on this form. Respect

I had an infopass after reaching waiting 7 months for my NOA2, it wasnt very successful as they requested that I do a local interview but couldnt let me know when that would happen. It's going to vary i suppose but the normal processing time is 3-5 months, they may not let you know much since you havent technically reached "out of processing" times which is greater than 5 months but who knows. i wish you the best!

The InfoPass appointments my husband went to did not speed up our process at all.

We did verify that my (beneficiary) birth certificate was put with our files as we got a NOID for it.

Other than that it wasn’t very useful.

My wife filed I-130 in October 2011 at CSC and after waiting almost 20 months and putting a service request twice, the file has been now transferred to local office. what are the odds that an infopass will help?

P.S. - the application is now out of normal processing times
