So we got approved april 26,2013 but hvent recieved an noa2 hardcopy yet how long does it usually take? :/ thanks for the help smile.png

As with many of the things associated with these visa journeys, that is difficult to say exactly. Some folks get their copy in a couple of weeks, for others it takes a month or more. Give USCIS a call in a couple of weeks, and continue calling until you receive it, documenting the details of your calls.

What is certain is that you need to make sure that you are pro-active and DO receive a NOA2 hardcopy notice. You will need to provide a copy of the NOA2 later on in your visa journey, and obtaining a duplicate can cost over $400.

Good luck.

I have NOA2 on 4/24 but i still haven't received the hard copy of NOA2. The funny thing is that NVC received my approval on 5/1 and sent it to Vietnam on 5/3 (yesterday). Anyways, what number or email or whatever website portal can i reach USCIS to obtain this NOA2 hard copy??

Follow my advice contained in the #2 posting of this thread.idea9dv.gif

Call the USCIS customer service number, as previously mentioned, it should be listed on your NOA1 notice.idea9dv.gif

Hope that you get your NOA2 hardcopy soon.

Good luck.

I believe USCIS sent the NOA2 hard copy to you (which we are currently waiting for) and the whole initial filing of I-129F plus approval to NVC. You can contact NVC to see if they receive your case. You need your USCIS receipt number for that. If NVC receives it, they will provide you a NVC case number. They will ask for petitioner and beneficiary's name and date of birth to verify you are the right person before discussing any thing on your case.

As of today, I think my file almost get to the Consulate in Vietnam. I will contact them next week. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the NOA2 hard copy. Anyways, I will also call USCIS, too as suggested.

I just called USCIS, the customer service representative told me it can take up to 30 days to receive the hard copy of NOA2. I asked if they can place any request to investigate where my file is, he said not until after 30 days. How can CSC takes so long to deliver the letter when I live in California too?? However, NVC which is out of state received my file on 5/1 already.
