"Witnesses told Channel 4 that three shots were fired about 9 a.m. after the woman objected to being asked to go the back of the line."

f#cking savage

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Ohhhhhhh how sad :( Thoughts and prayers go to the pharmacist's family, and to you and your husband as well. I hope they let him go home to you soon. You need to be together. The whole thing is horrible. The news story does make it sound like it wasn't completely random. I'm so sorry you all are going through this. (F)

Now the news story has been edited, saying the shooter objected to being told to go to the back of the line. This makes no sense.

I'm the USC.

That's unbelievable...

Sure, waiting in line sucks, but you do it. You don't shoot and kill someone, especially someone who has no real control over the situation. Where's the logic in that?

Too many crazies in the world. Last night my fiancee and I were just discussing how "nuts" the world has become in recent years. It's really rather appalling.

Have I mentioned lately that I really hate people?

Glad your hubby is ok, but what a thing to see....... He's gonna need you.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I wonder whether this woman was on some kind of drug that made her act in a completely irrational fashion? Perhaps she was an addict and was picking up her px for some kind of substitute for heroin or cocaine. I can't think of any reason someone would shoot someone simply because they had to wait in line, unless they were totally out of their mind on something!

I do know how you must be feeling though. We went through it for months when the "Sniper" was killing people in VA and MD. It was during the first weeks of our arrival here in the US and we lived a very short distance from the killing that occurred in a gas station in Manassas, VA. In fact, it was only a few hundred yards from the school that my daughter was attending. I was a nervous wreck every day whenever my husband and daughter were out of the house, until they had those guys in custody. I was afraid every time my husband said he was going to fill the car with gas, and it went on for weeks!

Once they caught the guys, it took a while for us all to get back to normal. I still worried every time we had to fill the car with gas, for months after that. Just thinking about how it could have been one of my family made me tremble with fear and I have never felt like that in my life. It does wane with time, but just thinking about it makes me recall just how scared I was - at that point I wished I had never come to America. Things like that just didn't happen in the tiny town I came from in England.

I am sure that your husband is going to re-live that moment for some time and may need some assistance, from professionals, in dealing with that. I cannot imagine what it is like to actually see someone killed, but for that person to be standing right next to you has got to be terrifying. I hope your husband will be okay, at the moment I am sure you are all in shock over the whole incident.

I pray that the woman that was shot is going to be okay. Her family must be going through hell. Please let us know, if you hear anything, how she is doing.

God Bless and Big Hugs.

Glenys

The woman shot was a good, sweet person. She just got off maternity leave - and has a baby at home who now has no mother.

I am leaving now to go see what's going on.

Thank you again everyone. (F)
